Dear Jane and Julia, I wear my The Gathering apron with pride, even more now. It helps me celebrate the dedicated and inspiring person that Jo was. She even brought me a second one when she came to ISU, Ames for the 50th class reunion. I didn't get to visit her enough in Milwaukee but did a couple times. She liked her work and the thought of retiring completely was difficult for her.I had no idea she wasn't well. She didn't talk about her self with me except in college when we would sit on the steps of Birch Hall after hours and plan our future. Wayne and I knew Jerry and Jo in Wesley Foundation, Collegiate Methodist Church and the Y program. She was such a smart dresser and I envied her the wardrobe and her figure and her class. Your grandmother Mary was a fine teacher and I'm sure a fine grandmother. She was a relative through Miksch relatives of Brighton-Washington, Iowa area. She was a pleasure to know. We graduated Fairfield High School together also. Just today we met with FHS classmates (in Mesa, AZ)and I shared with them her wonderful accomplishments in life that we read in the tribute obituary. Please let me know the plans for the Memorial Service. I would like to come. Blessings to you all,
